Keeping Healthy
During your pregnancy and after child birth it is extremely important that you make sure that you and your baby are fit and healthy. You can only provide the best care necessary for your child if you are capable and if you let your own health slip then you will find it hard to keep up with your child’s health.
Keeping healthy by eating properly and not skipping meals is a vital part of being a good parent as you will need all of the energy that you can get from good foods full of nutrients and goodness for natural energy boosts. Keeping healthy is just as important during your pregnancy as it is after your child is born.
Getting as much sleep as possible is also important although it can be hard when your baby constantly wakes you up for feeding during the night. Many new parents will find themselves catching only a few hours’ sleep throughout the day and night and sleep patterns will often be decided by your baby rather than by your own schedule.
Keeping healthy during your pregnancy is also vital for making sure your unborn baby is fit and healthy when he/she arrives. Cutting out smoking and limiting drinking alcohol are essential and there are also many food groups that should be avoided during pregnancy such as mayonnaise, due to the raw egg ingredients. Ask family and friends to refrain from smoking near you to ensure that you are in a smoke-free atmosphere.
